Alpaka Wolle hat hervorragende Fähigkeiten, sie ist temperaturregulierend, schmutzabweisend, Anti-Allergen und geruchsabweisend. Dazu kratzt es nicht und verfilzt kaum. Der Begriff Baby Alpaca Wolle erklärt die erste Schur eines erwachsenen Alpakas.
Aus dieser ersten Schur wird eine extrem weiche Wolle gewonnen und die Decken wurden mit dieser Wolle von Hand gewebt. Die Decke hat eine Breite von ca. 140 cm und eine Länge von ca. 170 cm, zzgl. 10 cm auf jede Seite für die Franzen. Sie wiegt auch etwa 620 g. Da es sich nicht um ein industriell gefertigtes Produkt handelt, kann es zu geringfügigen Größenabweichungen von +/- 2 cm kommen.
